Attention City of North Port Taxpayers, it's time to DOGE North Port's Government!!!!!!
Directions for how to cast your vote in this Special election are listed below and can be found at SarasotsVotes.gov.
Here is why you need to vote:
Apparently the North Port City Commission was not happy with the results of the November election when City Residents voted down a measure to allow that government to borrow $15 million annually without asking permission from the residents. Now they have decided to spend over $131,000 of your taxpayer dollars (according to Heather Faust, City Clerk) to hold a special election to ask the same question and others this coming May! Does the North Port Commission think we have unlimited funds for their use?
Below is part of our post about that original proposal when it failed to pass in November, 2024.
"the residents of the City of North Port can celebrate the fact that their City Commissioners will not be allowed to borrow $15,000,000 indiscriminately every year without the prior consent of the voters. The borrowed funds could have been used for "health or safety projects" that could include all sorts of things like for example a tax-funded abortion clinic or perhaps housing for illegal immigrants!"
This time, the Special Election ballot will contain 4 separate questions asking for more money to be available to them for things like emergency borrowing (the measure that voters just blocked last November), and to approve individual bonds to finance a new police headquarters, a solid waste transfer station, and improvements to a wastewater treatment facility. Will the annual $15,000,000 slush fund be used for projects that the voters don't want? Possibly.
All of these ballot measures will create current and future debt for the hardworking taxpayers of North Port. Apparently the taxes that the City of North Port already collects are not considered enough by the current North Port leadership. They say they need more money to build a fancy new police station but somehow, they can find enough money in the budget to pay Jerome Fletcher, the North Port City Manager, an annual salary of $247,778.91, and pay his Deputy, Jason Yarborough, an annual salary of $209,707.93 according to staff at the City of North Port office. Instead of being frugal stewards with your tax dollars, they spend our tax dollars recklessly and seem to want a $15,000,000+ credit card to use for expenses that should be covered by our annual North Port tax bill. The same thing has been happening in DC for decades. DOGE is working on corrupt spending in DC, but what about North Port? It's up to us!!!
In addition to these measure that will put us into debt, they have also included a request to remove the residency requirement for the City Clerk and the City Attorney so that those people can live anywhere besides the City of North Port. Perhaps they prefer to live in luxurious Longboat Key, sexy Sarasota, or posh Punta Gorda. Do we really want our City Clerk and Attorney to live remotely? I don't think so.

Remember to please come back to this site before our next election to find out who are the most MAGA candidates! This is particularly important during primary elections where MAGA candidates are often running against establishment, well funded, pro-development Republican candidates. Until then we may host guest blogs from time to time discussing issues of importance to Conservative voters. So please check in frequently for new information and updates!
Further, in view of the recent widespread purge of MAGA members from leadership positions in the official Republican Party of Florida, it is increasing obvious that true America First MAGA supporters need to stop blindly supporting the candidates offered up by the official Republican Party and organize our own groups to support America First candidates and keep power out of the hands of this RINO Republican Party of Florida and their globalist developer sponsors. So in 2026, look for our "SARASOTA MAGA PATRIOTS" and "AMERICA FIRST" red tents and be cautious when you see those official Republican Party voter guides, particularly during the primary election, even if they want to trick you by publishing an image of Donald Trump on their guides like they did last fall.
If you are concerned about what has been happening to our culture and our beloved country and would like to take a more active role in protecting liberty and freedom locally for future generations, please consider joining one or both of the following conservative groups. All Patriots are welcome!!!!
SARASOTA MAGA PATRIOTS can be contacted at SarasotaRAC@gmail.com. This group meet monthly in the evening at several locations within Sarasota County.
AMERICA FIRST SWFL CAUCUS can be found and contacted at www.AmericaFirstSWFLC.org. This group meets every second Wednesday at 11 am at the Venice Community Center in downtown Venice.
Many of us are members of both groups and we work together to protect our freedoms here in Sarasota County, Florida!
PLEASE SHARE THIS VOTER GUIDE WITH YOUR FRIENDS WHO WANT TO PRESERVE OUR WAY OF LIFE AND PROTECT AMERICA FROM THE UNIPARTY ELITES! AND ALSO PLEASE COME BACK TO THIS SITE TO LEARN WHO THE MOST CONSERVATIVE CANDIDATES ARE FOR ALL FUTURE ELECTIONS HERE IN SARASOTA COUNTY!
PS: You can reach this site by typing in our short cut address: RightVotes.com. Or you can use SarasotaConservativeVoterGuide.com, but make sure you type it in as ALL ONE WORD, NO SPACES. Otherwise, Google will send you to the Republican Party of Florida's website.
